Penelope Oates

About the artist
Penelope has an extensive background and training in the arts, completing a degree in fine art early on majoring in design and drawing, shortly followed by a degree in stage and costume design which she completed at NIDA. Her love of theatre, drawing and design greatly inform her practice today as a landscape artist. She currently lives on a rural property in the lower mountains with her husband Darren Oates, a well known fine timber designer and maker and their rescue dogs.
